Seixal invests in measures for energy sustainability

Seixal is investing in a public lighting plan to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, including replacing more than 6,000 lamps and the identification of faults in lamp posts throughout the municipality.

Energy saving is also achieved by adopting measures to promote more sustainable mobility. In this sense, the municipality of Seixal will facilitate car charging, making it easier to use electric vehicles, with stations distributed throughout the city. Another measure is the promotion of test drives, promoted by companies in the sector that aim to show the benefits of electric mobility.

The local authority has selected specific locations in the municipality to provide the electric power required for fast charging, with a capacity of 22 kW, which allows for a charge of around 60% in 30 minutes.
